| Draenei Shaman Cosplay, the gradual process of the development and leading upto the final day of the MCM Expo May 29th 2010. This is my first attempt at placing a large amount of effort into a Cosplay. I adore Draenei, so I wanted to attempt one of my favourite WoW races. I was spurred on by creating the hooves, which was my biggest obstacle to this costume (Besides the horns!), after accomplishing this, I decided to go ahead with the entire outfit! Mixing my creativity with a budget, I have combined many items together to create this costume. Not-to-mention actually attempting to sew (I usually cannot sew to save my life). With this costume comes blue skin, so I am using quite a large amount of blue bodypaint, blending paints together to create a realistic looking tonal effect. With various paint trials it has actually been quite long lasting, so I am hoping that the paint will not smudge on the day. My progress thus far! Check out how I made hooves on my youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/ShiverZ66 | |

One Week To Go! (Posted 22nd May 2010) Only one week to go until the Expo and I'm so excited! I've begun packing my Costume into a suitcase and wondering if it'll all fit, not-to-mention stay safe. I'm double checking I'm prepared, time to make some final preparations ^___^ I'm going to there a majority of the Saturday, hoping the queuing won't last as long this time >___> But I am certainly EXCITED! Hope to see the rest of you MCM Expo folk there! |

Little Extras (Posted 17th May 2010) I decided to purchase some inner padding for my shoes, basically around the toe area, just to make the hoofy-day experience a little more comfy. I'm going to save them up until the actually day mind you, but I may test "clomp" around the house for a day. I still need to figure out what an earth to do with my hair. I'm going to dye it a dark shade, black with a blue tint, to get that Draenai look. I'm pondering to have it partially up and some "bangs" at the front, just so the hair doesn't mess with my body paint. |

New Hooves! (Posted 15th May 2010) Here are my new cloven hooves *jazz hands* Re-plastered and re-painted! |
|
Cloven Hoofies! (Posted 5th May 2010) Ok, so managed to re-plaster the hoofs so they are more smooth and have a cloven toed look to them. The new paint job looks pretty sweet too, I'm so proud of my hooves ^___^ Tried walking around in them today for about 30 minutes, seemed pretty comfortable, need a little more padding on the sole, just to be safe, especially when I'll be clomping around in the for the whole day! Not sure how to style my hair as of yet.....any ideas? |

Not Long Now! (Posted 29th April 2010) Well, not long now until the Expo. I must say the past few months have flown by! I've got a majority of the costume finished, all the clothing is sorted. The props are also somewhat finshed. And last but not least, the HORNS and HOOVES. Expect some more photos of the hooves to be uploaded, not-to-mention a complete "dress rehearsal", minus the blue paint, as I need t save it for the day :P |
