| Rip van Winkle was my first Cosplay ever. I wore it to go to the MCM Expo in May 2008, and made a whole world of new friends that I Cosplay with today. I was a huge fan of Hellsing when I was in secondary school, and it was the first manga I ever read. And when I discovered Rip, she was a girl after my own heart! The whole outfit was gathered from various shops. I replaced the buttons on the blazer with gold plated ones with anchors on them. Since Rip is a character at sea, I gave the blazer a more marine feel. The musket was made by Simon from Iceni Militaria, my local Militaria shop. And last but not least, the SUMSONS DRUGSTORE logo was painted on with acrylic paint. I dare not use it in the rain! P.S. Beware the dreaded swastika pendant! D:< | |

She's coming back (Posted 18th July 2012) So yes, after so long I am bringing my ol' faithful back out of retirement. I have to say I am really excited to cosplay her again. Yes, my Rip van Winkle cosplay. Of course I've had to make a few changes here and there as I've either had to re-buy a lot of the stuff because I've slowly misplaced it over the years. I've had to buy a new pink shirt, and I need to buy some more gloves. About a year ago, I had all my hair cut off because I fancied a change. I now have a bob and refuse to grow my hair rediculously long again for the sake of a cosplay. The thing is, I didn't want to get a cheap looking wig with a block front. So I bought a lace front wig as Rip has slicked back hair to give me a more realistic looking hairline. Rip is going to be one of my cosplay for the MCM October Expo which is coming up soon. The others? I'm not sure yet ^^ |

Thanks! ^^ Well, when I started it, it was very crap. The photos represent the final version, thank goodness! ^^; Now I can move onto other characters, hehe!
