| I've always loved this costume and have wanted to make it for some time now, Upon going through so many different ideas on who to be for the MCM in May I settled on all 4 lol: Edea, Rinoa, Siren and Shiva a lot of work but so worth it =D. Originally I wanted to be Phoenix (FF8) and Sun Shang Xiang from Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce but finding the correct fabrics and the time scale needed was a bit too much so I went for the other costumes instead - I love Final Fantasy 8 and actually feel more comfortable with the characters I chose in the end XD. I know I will find this costume a lot of work and effort but I know it will pay off in the end and so far i'm enjoying making the back piece ^^ Tab was going to be making my head piece originally but I decided to make it myself instead. Head piece (Posted 4th September 2011) I'm at 20% completion with this. I was going to have Tab make this but i've decided to make it myself instead - I'd feel a better sense of accomplishment having made everything myself =D Will attach pictures later |

Backpiece (Posted 15th April 2010) Pretty much finished that now and onto the headpiece tommorrow and also the dress is all sorted out ^^ Making pretty good progress with this cosplay almost finished it now =D |

That I am =D just finishing off my spikes for the backpiece and i'll be starting the headpiece tommorrow ^^
Amazing! Its looking great! I cosplayed her a few years ago and it was such a hard cosplay to make, but so worth it when i wore it. Cant wait to see finished pics!
The dress looks really lovely. Is it a spandex fabric? I find that spandex actually does wonders for dresses and such.

Tab - Yeah its spandex fabric, I figured it would hug my figure better to give a better shape :) I can't wait to finish it i'm so excited about this costume =D
Ranma1-2 - Yeah there is a local fabric shop to me called Abakhan and they do pretty good quality feathers for reasonable prices :) I was going to go to Hobby Craft but their products can be a bit too pricy :(

Aww you looked FAB. I am kicking myself now cuz I saw you in the masquerade queue behind me and I didnt go to say a quick hi. We were saying how your back piece (is there a name for it?) looked spot on, finely detailed but not too fragile, and wow you have the right curves to give that dress the right shape. Great cosplay. :)
