| It's finally finished! Black top was bought, as were the shorts and the jacket (but I cut off the sleeves and my gran added the zip). Skirt was bought from a charity shop, boots are from another cosplay, I already had the gloves, and the wig is Punky XL from Cosworx. The rest sewn 100% by me (for once). The brown wristband is made from pleather with metal hoops pressed into it for the holes, and I just used any old lace I could find to tie it up, since it was a bit of a rush job. The arm cover is attached to the jacket, so unfortunately I can't pull it off... Black side skirt-thing (don't know the proper name for it) was made from a really simple pattern, as were the belts. The buckles are just card ;D The swords are made from two sheets of cardboard each, with a wooden spine, covered in paper mache, then spray painted. It's *supposed* to have that worn down effect, and I might smear some red stuff on it if I have time. The bandages are just to make it look a bit more realistic. As you can tell, I gave up on making the full fusion sword (at the moment. I'll attempt it again in a year or so). Wig was styled using gel on the tips first to form the spikes, the sprayed all over to keep them in place. Fake blood is shop bought~ ----- -EDIT- Re-styled the wig, and bought different boots, which I'll make new covers for. When I manage to get my Grandma's knitting machine down from the attic, I'll re-make most, if not all of this costume, with a slight design change. I'll also make the full fusion sword once I've learnt a bit more about how to make simpler swords. | |
