| This anime is one of my old faves. Was re-watching a lot of the retro animes from my childhood at the beginning of the year, and once again fell in love with Alcyones Ova design. Plus I've hardly ever seen any MKR cosplayers, so I made the choice to attempt to make her. It’s very revealing and even tho I still don’t feel 100% comfterbal and confident in this I love it all the same ^^ The original designs is a lot more revealing and lower at the front and back, but for my own comfort and modesty level I altered it slightly. The main body of this is a leotard pattern with a sweet heart neckline (I think that’s what the styles called) made with dupion style lyrca. The gold trim is also lyrca sewn on top so it stretches with the main body. The selves are wired so they 'puff' out and support themselves. Tho when I wear this I have to be sewn into it and the sleeves/sleeves wire has to be secured on the see throught bra straps to make sure they stay up. The top skirt is a simple pleated skirt made with a bridal satin, same for the trail. The ostrage feathers were all sewn in individually and then glued to make them secure. And lastly the resin gems were all made by me. I had never worked with resin before and it was a skill I learned specially for this cosplay so it could be as effective as I could make it. I think for a beginner I did rather well. | |

It's a shame to see this retired, but fantastic job I must say!
I have several MKR costumes planned now but I need to figure out who I want to do first and when! I must say though, I wasn't fond of the OVA much and especially now that I've watched the series of the anime.
