|The main part of the costume was bought as a custom-made costume from eBay. I must have been lucky, because when it arrived, I saw that the bead necklace had also come with it!! It wasn't a bad one either; the beads are made of heavy plastic so they didn't fly around too much, which was very helpful. The costume itself wasn't too bad quality-wise: the material wasn't brilliant, but it was nice and thick, which was a bonus; I had to unpick the velcro that held it together as it was a little large for me (I must have lost a bit of weight after I bought it!!!!!), but that was easy enough to correct.|
The wig was bought from eBay as well. I didn't adjust it at all, as it's the first wig I have ever worn. When I reuse the costume, I will probably try and cut more of a fringe into it to make it look more authentic, and possibly trim the side by the ears down a little as well.
I unfortunately never had time to make a Tessaiga, though I'm sure I will eventually! I did, however, make the black band that (from what I can tell from watching the show!) is what it's held on. I used a few metres of black wool and plaited them together, made three of these and plaited those together as well. If I did it again, I would like to use something heavier for this, as it was quite flimsy.
