| This is one of my ultimate dream cosplays, seeing as Ariel is my favourite Disney princess and disney character (as anyone who knows me can tell you) This is also my favourite of all her outfits XD The second day of Ariel's humanhood is such an awesome part of the movie, particularly "Kiss The Girl". It will forever and always be my favourite Disney scene. Not that I'm using this as an excuse to watch the film repeatedly for reference purposes or anything xD Potentially for LFCC, depending on if I actualy go, and if it's ready in time. Really proud that I managed to get everything fairly cheaply. Dream costume on a budget? No complaints here! The skirt is a full circle skirt made from bi-stretch cotton. Said fabric was chosen because it is light-weight and suitably swooshy. And cheap. The shirt is made from pale blue jersey cotton The corset is made from navy blue suiting, is boned with plastic boning and laced with navy blue cord. The hairbow is a blue cotton that is halfway between the skirt and shirt colours. Managed to find navy shoes with a thick short heel on sale, so am very chuffed. I'm really with how this is turning out. The time spent carefully selecting each fabric for its price and colour, and then putting it all together have definately paid off. I genuienly can't wait to wear this, and can see myself rewearing this one a lot! Full credit to Crazedteensie, Luminescence and Tinfoil for styling the wig <3 I cannot express enough gratitude! I love how it has the signature poof, but manages to look realistic ^^ It is a most aesthetically pleasing configuration of hair if I do say so myself~ | |

Finished! (Posted 2nd July 2012) So Cat, Alex and Zoe helped me style the wig today. And by help I mean do pretty much everything while I wore said wig and provided Minstrels and styling equipment. |

Progress spurt (Posted 20th June 2012) After agonising over the corset for 10 days or so, I finally completed it on Monday! Also bought fabric for the shirt and hair bow, and proceeded to make the hairbow in a couple of hours BECAUSE I WAS BORED WITHOUT THE INTERNET |

Corset 1 (Posted 5th June 2012) This corset is being a nightmare seriously :/ I'm trying a new pattern which while looks simple, but has turned out to be darn complicated. But I will persevere! |
