expo (Posted 1st June 2010)
Well now that expos over and I'm sober enough to type...
It was a lot of fun considering it's my first time cosplaying and I got alot of postive feedback on my costume. Thank you to those who spoke with me and asked for photos it really helped boost my cofidence alot!
I give up with the hat by the sunday and resorted to the mini hat because I could clip it to my hair. My head is basicly too big (this happens alot without the wig so with it there was no hope of keeping it on...)
I missed both the Kuroshitusji photo shoots which I'm miffed off about but theres nothing I can do about that....
... (Posted 22nd May 2010)
Well this has taken me longer than I hoped it would... Most the stuff is done now, just need to embroder the collar of the jacket and put the buttons on...
But it looks like Madam Red is going to have blue eyes as I have not been able to get red contact lenses in the prescription I need... shit!
wip (Posted 20th April 2010)
Sunday I bought the white fabric for the shirt. Monday I bought the red fabric I shall be using to make the costume. Also ordered the right number of buttons and the lace for the shirt.
behind... (Posted 18th April 2010)
I'm very behind on what I wanted to have done by now. Not happy about the fact either.
And... For some reason no matter where I go I can't seem to be able to get a full set of button I need for the jacket...
never-the-less work will continue today ( after I've had some sleep...)
Hat! (Posted 21st March 2010)
Finallay got the hat done for this costume. I'm quite pleased with it, but my poor fingers are killing me from hand sewing all the details on it! (I could have just glued them I suppose...)
WIP2 (Posted 2nd March 2010)
My wig Has arrived and I love it! Wearing it reminds me of the way I used to wear my hair when I was 17.
Anyway going to buy make-up tomorrow after college from the theatre make-up shop in Covent Gardens. Some red eye-liner, mascara, and lip-stick. if the mascara works I won't need to buy fake eyelashes.
I'm dieing to start on making the main part of the costume but I can't do so guilt free as I have so much college work! T.T
WIP1 (Posted 21st February 2010)
Well... I've a large vintage hat... don't know how long it's going to take to get here but at the moment I have time...
I've bought all the sewing patterns I need; now I just need to see where I need to adjust and customise them.
Next on my list of things to do is making a mock up of the costume so I know where I have to adjust them ( increaseing the bust line no doubt and pulling the waist in...) Once this is done I can get the actual fabric for the costume, still don't know what to get for it...
Now if only my wig would arrive so that I am reassured it's here on time I'd be alot happier!
