| I enjoyed playing FFIII on DS, though it seemed to end so quickly! I always admired Refia's outfit, and since getting back into cosplaying have decided that I can't wait to start on it =D It's actually a quite simple costume to make, although I have realised through my lack of connections/knowledge of sellers for materials, that it may be more difficult than it seems... I will have to make the dress itself by hand, including bell sleeves, box pleats and making sure to fit in the hidden zip! The waistcoat will be easy enough... but the boots i'm sure i'll find tricky! =P All of the afore mentioned will be hand sewn as I do not have access to a sewing machine, or knowledge of how to use one! xD I have purchased the wig, and will need to cut and style it more when it arrives. Currently excited, and looking forward to seeing this outfit come together! | |

Starting on this project (Posted 25th April 2010) So far I have the white fabric for the dress. I have gone for a flowy polycotton mix. Although not as breathable as pure cotton it is more suitable for the dress. I will have to, however, double up the fabric in some areas, such as the torso, to avoid it being see-through. I will be starting on making patterns, cutting, shaping and sewing the dress soon. |
