| For my second cosplay I decided to go a little more adventurous. Perhaps a bit too much. I've always loved Yu-Gi-Oh! and I think in his own right Yami has become one of the definative anime characters. Progress started back in December when I bougth some leather 'leggings' which didn't turn out right. After that came the Millenium Puzzle, which on and off took about two weeks and suprisingly took me only one attempt. I have a vlog about the creation here; http://www.youtube.com/user/maskedcrusaders And also some step by step images here; http://ladyneocotica.livejournal.com/3380.html The collar, bracelets, belt, vest, shoes and trousers were all bought from high street stores. I still can't believe how lucky I was to find faux leather trousers in H&M! The wig was made from a wig base and then extensions sown in to it. The base really was your generic 'punk rocker' party wig which actually came with black roots and red tips. Due to the sheer crap quality it was easily shaped in to the spikes. As I was going for more organic/real life look I opted to make the spikes less rigid and 'smooth'. The extensions were all sown in to the base of the cap with fringe pieces sown back on themselves to create tension. They were back combed for hours and pinned with hair clips in an attempt to make them stand on end. Ah thanks for all the comments guys I was amazed by the reaction I got at the con. It was all definately worth the time and hairspray!

He's notoriously difficult to pull off and though I was a bit worried a realism approach wouldn't work in the end I'm glad to hear it went okay <3
