|I've always really liked Hojo ever since I played Final Fantasy seven as a child. I was originally supposed to have a Lucrecia with me, but sadly I never got chance to see her at the expo due to certain circumstances. ;_;|
While Hojo isn't exactly the hardest character to cosplay, as everything is so readilly availible, he's still a really fun character to play. I loved having that long black wig on all day, as I managed to get a human hair wig for about £100. Sadly it got ruined after some Bleach cosplayers got into my room and pulled the wefts out (I honestly to this day do not know HOW they got a key card to my room, they were just there suddenly looking through the stuff in the room.)
It was very hot as Hojo inside, mainly because I had a thick lab coat on and a wig and at one point I was so warm I swear I was going to pass out. Coupled with not feeling very well and having only three hours sleep over two days due to being so busy and traveling so early, the heat inside didn't agree with old man Hojo. XD Thankfully I had a nice Vincent help me out.
I don't really look like Hojo. Hes a lot older (obviously) and male. I did manage to bind my chest all day (which added to the heat.) but I was soooo pleased to get that binder off after such a long long day. I tried to age my face using latex to form wrinkles but we have since found out that liquid latex on Member-xi's face does not go well. My face started itch, burn and go red...And the fumes gave me a headache. XD I think that was because I bought the latex from a theatre company and even though I shook it up and had a window open, the fumes must have been gathering for a while, as the bottle looked pretty old. :/ So yes, we learned our lesson. Member-XI does not know why she is talking in third person. D8
