there are a few things i'd like to improve on the jacket and a bit of tweaking here and there but she is essentially complete

Will post major progress here but i'll be taking constant progress pics and putting them in my facebook album:
Found some gorgeous fabric today for the skirt and corset, its perhaps a little greyer than it should be but I wanted something quite subtle and its a satin/cotton mix so it feels lovely
skirt progress and stocking rage (Posted 27th June 2010)
well the sewing two pairs together went fine on the first one and the second . . . well my machine decided to eat them (pulled load of fabric through thus making a big hole and ladders) >:[ I'm going to have another go and mybe try sharpie-ing a pair if it goes badly again
sewed the skirt together tonight, not entirely happy with the petal bits but its sort of ok. Need to reinforce the bustle to make sure it stays open enough at the front and need to put some extra bits in to make sure it doesn't push forward too much with the weight of the fabric.I'd be tempted to start again on the bustle but i really cant justify it
still hunting for boots too
stockings from hell (Posted 10th June 2010)
oh lordy, her stockings just do not exist in the real world :(
Have my suspender belt now, working on the corset (hacked up an old ann summers one for the pattern), still cant find any boots i can afford :/
Day 1- bustle (Posted 4th June 2010)
Well it's not really day 1 because i made a test skirt a while ago to figure out how much fabric i needed but . . .
Feel quite proud of making the bustle, it could do with being a little stronger as the weight of the fabric pushes it down quite a lot but it does give some lift, not quite as much as the skirt has in the anime but thats stupid anime clothing and this is reality :P I wanted the bustle as the few cosplays i've seen of this particular outfit have all had flat skirts with none of the fullness it has in the anime, the cage seemed like the best bet to give me some lift without being too heavy. hopefully it wont be too visible, I might line it so that it blends in if i have enough fabric left at the end.
Also sewed the frills arond the legs onto the leotard i bought- i could probably have made one but as i'm going to be quite exposed i didn't want to take the risk (plus it was cheaper lol). Trying the leotard on tonight has given me a bit of a confidence wobble, I know my figures not too bad but i'm not tall and slender with perfect thighs like Angela . . . I'll get over it, nothing a fab pair of heels and a few vodkas wont fix ;D
