Patterns (Posted 29th March 2010)

Last weekend I cut the patterns with the help of CodeKallen.
We used the simple school jacket from the Cosmode pattern book and there will be some modifications on that.

The same thing applies to the trousers.
Today I'm ironing all the fabrics and making a mock test for size. :)

On Thursday I went to get the fabrics for this costume.
In the end the only navy blue that suited the image for the uniform was plain cotton drill.

It's always a safe choice. I also got the zip, bias, lining and thread I'll need for this. I was surprised that I stayed in budget too. I don't really want to spend more than 50 pounds on this costume, but then I noticed that I also need shoes that match. Oh well.

This weekend I'm doing the pattern cutting and possibly a sample for the trousers. :)
