|Oh, this was an adventure, being my first cosplay. My best friend and I were talking about the convention we were going to that weekend, and suddenly she goes, "Let's cosplay!" Oh my, and thus started to two busiest nights of my whole life. @.@ Somehow, we both managed to finish our cosplay just in the nick of time though. I'm pleased with the result, but I'd love to re-make it when I can actually sew.|
Being hot-glued together... It can be washed... and it gets damn hot here in Texas... Yea, it smells. :P Besides, it doesn't fit anymore anyhow. I've lost weight since then. >.<
The top was a red sports bra that I bought. The brown trimming was all brown bias tape that was hot-glued on. I ran out of time, so there are a few spots that are missing trimming, like underneath my arm, but... people weren't looking at my arm, ya know? =.=;; I cut it down the center and then glue some hooks in there, and voila! The top was done.
The skirt was fabric that I measure, cut, eyeballed and then glued. I'm surprised that it worked out at all. In fact, even though I made this in two nights, the waist of skirt about a month ahead (I was already planning this cosplay). Sadly... I had lost a bit of weight since then, and I had to take it in by two inches. Lol. All I did was velcro it.
The gold designing was painted on in fabric paint.
That's really all there is to it.
I'm not even gonna explain the halberd BECAUSE I HATE IT, and it's dead anyhow. We had to break it in half to get it back home, Lol. It was kinda sad. xD
Overall, it was a blast to wear, even if I did get some unwanted attention.
