| Screw this I'm going to try and make this for the shoot in London I've been planning! But wearing a short sleeved shirt underneath so that I can take the jacket off for group shots. Naoto's my favourite character in the game (next to Teddie 8D) sooo I'm slowly getting through every version 8D Costs: 1m Black cotton dril £3.50 Navy hat £4.80 Navy blue fat quarter £1.40 Blue fat quarter £1.40 Silver buckle £1.25 (I think??) Lol, the hat costs more than the jacket itself to make, what an expensive hat, this amuses me greatly XD I want to wear this to an actual event too... Possibly Kitacon as there's a Persona group for then but there's around 5 other Persona characters I want to do that I can't choose oTL. | |

Hat 95% complete! (Posted 26th July 2010) I'm going to call this complete anyway, all I'm missing is the buckle which I cannot add on until I find my old hat XD (It's a sign - I need to tidy up the place oTL) Time Taken: 2hrs |

24/07/2010 - Hat v2.0 (Posted 25th July 2010) Here's me updating at stupid o'clock!! Decided to remake the hat, partly because the other one was (very) inaccurate shape-wise, and partly because I lost the first one oTL. I've taken progress pictures along the way so that I can do a tutorial on how I made the hat, but it's not finished yet so please hold! XD Basically it's 5 panels of slightly curved triangles sewn together with interfacing to line it (because I couldn't get a heavy enough fabric). Then I sewed on a rectangular band and then the peak. Getting the shape of the peak right was the hardest part, and I still don't know if it's perfectly alright xD; Just got to sew on the tie thingy! I have to find the fabrics first though... And find my old hat so that I can steal the tie thingy off it (it has the buckle on it as well! Aaaargh why do I always lose things? D8). It looks kinda funny right now because this hat is ACTUALLY measured for my head with the wig on, so it looks very ill-fitting in the photos! Costs: £5.50 for blue fabric, thread and self-cover buttons |

13/07/2010 - Wiggy wig wig (Posted 13th July 2010) Have another before and after shot! Did one for all my other wigs - gotta do it for this one! I trimmed it slightly from the one below as well as at the time I cut it without a reference and so I trimmed the bangs shorter and a bit at the back neater. |

13/07/2010 - Wig! (Posted 13th July 2010) R.I.P. Alto wig, HELLO NAOTO WIG! Just basic cutting and layering, I mucked up the right hand side though oTL. Tried to make is as symmetrical as possible to save it but yeah X_X Time Taken: 30mins |

08/07/2010 - Glasses! (Posted 8th July 2010) Bought these from Poundland! They were originally sunglasses, but I popped the lenses out and painted them using acrylic paint. Although because usually when I wear glasses I have a habit of pushing them up whenever they slide down my nose (Cause I've got stupid Asian noses where it makes it hard to wear glasses!) and I sometimes poke myself in the eye, AND IT HURTS! I've lost my hat... It was too small when wearing a wig anyway so I might make a new one... We'll see! Costs: £1 (deeeerp!! Poundland deeerp!) |

28/01/2010 - Hat (Posted 28th January 2010) This took... Longer than expected... I bought the hat off eBay, admittedly once again - It's too small for my head with a wig on. I have to wrestle it over my head 8D; (Keeps the wig on at least). But I knew this would happen but I took the risk anyway because I am far too lazy to make my own hat! *hates making them* I was going to be lazy as well and buy the tie, but there weren't any that were accurate though (I saw plenty that were close, but not perfect) and I was tempted to get an inaccurate tie... But then I figured, Naoto is my favourite character, must be perfect, will be cheaper if I made it anyway. So I ventured off to the fabric shop to buy a couple of fat quarters of different shades of blue! It took me ages to cut out the little pieces of fabric and sew them together diagonally. And then I had to make it perfectly fit the hat, the paaain! Costs: Navy blue fat quarter £1.40, Blue fat quarter £1.40, Navy blue baker boy's hat £4.80 P.S. Thanks to Special-Pleb/Charlie for finding me this hat! She's always helping me figure out the names of different hats, she got the name of this one straight away :'D |
