| Gun shoes are awesome.... oh man what can I say about this!?! I loved being bayonetta and had a fantastic response to the costume at kita... so thank you so much everyone for the feedback and the lovely comments. And the response at the masquerade.... MY GOD I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!! seriously the huge cheer as myself and jeanne walked onto the stage really got rid of our nerves <3 MASQ VIDEO HERE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzKEJzLO7xM well i had to finish some bits as I arrived at the con... never good. And several bits went a bit wrong, the belts on the arms kept falling off, the buckles kinda gave up on me :( and the chain snapped on the catsuit in 2 places. I lost 1 of the chains holding a charm on one of the guns in the shoes and as I came off the stage i clipped both the shoes on the steps soo all in all the costume is very much worse for wear. :( the arm charms also kept being hidden by the arm drops, and the rose on the front was only visible at certain angles... XD The wig however was fine and very very easy to wear :D I really really wanna remake the costume to make it more accurate of course keeping the bits that are already fine :) can't wait to do her again!! pleather on a warm day.... is never good!!! Thought I'd actually add some construction notes in here for anyone interested; catsuit made by hand using my pattern I constructed with cammy's leotard and adding legs, back keyhole was made slightly smaller so it could sit firmly against my back without too much gaping. The whole thing had to be sewn together and adjested a few times to make it as tight as possible. arm belts handmade again, each one is two strips of pleather carefully folded and copydexed together, moon details drawn and cut out and sewn around to get a neat edge. on my first run with lack of time I had these hotglued to me...hence why they kept falling apart! but for minami I took a day to sew them all in place. shoes are an adaptation of the original design to slightly accomodate for my holster, the moon charm on the side covers where the straps attach to help hold the guns, I left the toes open too as any extra ventilation in this black pleather mass is appreciated!! The wig is my masterpiece (so far!) constructed out of 3 wigs total though in a very specific way ;) and most of the hair actually sits on top of the head fairly centrally its very easy to wear and doesn't creep back at all really!! the ribbon was hand done by me and totals 4 m wrapped around, all the characters on the ribbon were drawn on by hand over a series of nights looking at the references of the alphabet in game :) If you want any advice on the wig / if you want to commission me for one drop me a pm about it! Edit: 24/12/2009 well i've pre-ordered the game with the replica of scarborough fair (default gun) so i'll either have 1 very nice gun as a prop for sure... or more realistically i'll have the best reference for making the 4 guns =] its kinda tempting to cast 4 new guns off the replica... but i'm worried that might ruin it altogether! Edit: 14/01/2010 looking into the possibility of doing this for kita (yes yes insane...or is it? ;) ) got the poses and the voice down... and yeah. awesome! Edit: 25/03/2010 well got today to finish off bits (like finish sewing the chain to the catsuit XD) but for those of you excited to see this at kita... make sure you watch the masquerade!! As I'm a little concerned over the wig holding together I won't be wandering around until masq time ;D see you there naughty angels! | |

I'VE CREATED A MONSTERRRR (Posted 29th March 2010) i. love. you. all. <3 anyways to clear up confusion, marked as complete as its been worn (and will hopefully be appearing in cosplay fever in the nearish future XD) BUT technically I would count it as in progress still as I want to remake the catsuit with the slight colour variation that it has in the game ^^ |

few updates! (Posted 11th March 2010) Well I finally got some pleather I'm pretty happy with (i.e not too textured, not to thick, not to thin, nice and soft to the touch!) so now its just a case of sewing the actual catsuit... which should be fun! And my sister has pretty much finished her jeanne. Go see it her name on here is agi :) I'll be drawing up a plan for jeannes guns for her soon too. its an excitement carnival! |

pleather disasters (Posted 26th February 2010) well the stuff I ordered showed up... and turned out to be upholstry pleather distinctly different from how it was described / listed and what the picture looked like <____< I don't want to look like a sofa cushion so pleather hunt begins AGAIN. also once more cause seriously you guys rock. a HUGE thanks for all the lovely comments :D |

stuff stuff stuff! (Posted 10th February 2010) First off thanks everyone for the lovely lovely comments / feedback so far I'm seriously flattered <3 well base wig arrived yesterday (as shown in the photo!) I'll probably get off my ass next week and actually style it all up properly with the ribbon and the chain :3 (this week i'm working pretty intensely then away at the weekend!) and if I f&*k up the catsuit well then... I guess naked bayonetta might be wandering around :p |

(Posted 30th January 2010) well... i still have to acquire the pleather as i'm terribly picky. the thing is I have this awesome coat... with the nicest pleather on it ever and thats really making me stick in my head as to the quality I want. I have never been so excited about a cosplay EVER. :) can't wait!! |

getting things underway (Posted 24th January 2010) tomorrow i'm off to acquire some lovely pleather or something of the like to get cracking on the catsuit XD wig has been ordered and I plan to scalp a couple of old black wigs I have sitting about for some extra wefts for the head cone. The base wig I've ordered is pretty long so I should be able to tie some of that up into the head detail to make it fuller on top... its going to be some interesting experimentation when that arrives either way! |

it's looking awesome yer i've seen those guns up close 5 year old painters ^^, My idea was to cast like you said but with a two part mould. like these guys:

But you could do that with any part of the gun and replace the barrels with pvc piping. Upto you. mould and cast the entire thing. Just an idea The script looks awesome as well. :)

ahh thanks matt for that link :) I was going for a 2 part mould... but currently money is a little tight so having to plan things carefully and it might have to wait a while!

Yer two part mould would be best. Problem being is there so poorly made you wonder if the mould will react with it. ^^ Umm can only try... They could be hand made with wood and pvc like my yoko rifle if you check it out. Same sort of thing two halves of trigger grips and then build up then barrels sight rail. Have a look.

This is a really good costume. :) It was worth putting the effort into doing the ribbon right, that and the wig was the first part of the costume I saw and I instantly recognised it. ^_^
