| I love Fang, i love her design, her attitude and so many other things. She is just so cool, and powerful what a strong woman. All the chracters from Final Fnatasy XIII are amazing, and after playing with Fang i still love her the most ^__^ She has a very Rinoa-esque look about her i think? What with the lovely blue, black vest and arm thingys? And yay for an FF girl with tattoos! :D There are a few things i would like to change about this costume, b ut i was very pleased with the outcome. This cosplay was soooo expensive due to using silk dupioni! But well worth it. In the future i would love to make her weapon! *Fang will be worn to the MCM Expo this May, cant wait to get some proper pics of her* | |

Almost there (Posted 26th May 2010) so yeah....id say ive worked my arse off pretty much all day today, i could have got this compleated so much ealier if i had worked like i have done today. All i need to do is fix my boots(parts fell off already) thats what i get for being lazy. |

PROGRESS!! (Posted 6th May 2010) ok so its been pretty much a month and not alots happened, tut! So im starting up again, boots are almost complete, im not 100% happy with them, but i never am with anything...(hench the fact i have remade the earrings again) Its just that damn trim thats keeping me back from finishing! The fur pelt things wont take me long to do at all, i wonder if i can construct them into a sort of money/phone/camera holder aswell hmmmm |

Trim (Posted 15th March 2010) Ok so ive started on the trim, finally found a paint that wont actually run through the ribbon finally, only problem is though its messy!!!! made such a mess of this but you get the idea. I will try and make the main bits you can see better, also im aware that the colour of the triangles isnt right, buuut i cant afford a different colour :( This is only llike 3 meters and its taken forever! ive put the gold next to it so you can kinda see what it will look like :) |

Boot (Posted 3rd March 2010) ok so one boot almost done, still looking very messy, needs tidying up painting etc etc. need to add the silver bit around the top too, so one down one to do argh! only a piture of the front because the computer mucked up the side pictures!!!! need to add toe bits too. |

More progress (Posted 24th February 2010) Been working on the saris trim today, cutting stencils etc, see the best way it will work, then painting with fabric paint! Stencils take forever, i will start work on the belts soon, and the tails. |

Progress (Posted 11th January 2010) So im waiting for my boots to arrive still >__< im so impatiant! I went out today to find some bits. I bought my ribbon etc to go no the trim of the sari, and also some fabric paint to do all the little details, i will make a stencil for them so the pattern will be the same all the way around i recon. I also found some vests i can use to make the arm bits and crop top! Going out to get my lovely sari material tomorrow hopefully, I just couldnt find what i was looking for today sadly. Jewlery is coming along well. |

Great work on the wig styling so far. So is the lace 'headband' something you have attatched - as a foundation for adding the widows peak to the front hairline? Is it special stuff sold by wig sellers?
Thank you Ranma ^__^ its getting there. Well its a lace front wig so you get that natural hairline look, you cut that part away when you have it how you want it but it will help to add the widows peak with cut off hair, even though i have no idea how to :S
When you find out how to attatch the extra hair pieces pls tell me as well :D
meanwhile.. I shall google 'lace front wig' :)
Lave front wigs are awesome ^___^ and can be the ftw. I though it would be more apropriate for this sort of hairstyle hehe

thanks everyone! about time i posted some progress! yeaah the weird flap thing, that she has some toes in, i just cant figure out how to put in on lol. Im getting so high on spray paint atm, NOT good!

Hmm, I can't see it properly on the pictures I've looked at, but the main CG one thats floating around online (http://www.creativeuncut.com/gallery-09/ff13-oerba-yun-fang.html) suggests that its actually open on one side, if you look at her left foot, you can just see her toes peeking out.
Only thing I can think of would be to get some fake leather or some left over leather from the boot and glue it to the sole of the boot and wrap it round your toe? It looks like it doesn't fully enclose her toe, just one side, so it thats the case, maybe you could stiffen some fake leather with either some watered down PVA glue or fabric stiffener (heck even some thin cardboard painted brown and stuck to the underside of the leather)to give it that curve around the toe. It almost looks like a weird toe separater to separate the big toe from the others.

thank you member, eayh i did notice that, i was gonna try card or something, its just sticking it so it doesnt hurt my toe thats the pain. \stupid boots lol haha.
What about if you put some sort of soft felt on the inside of it to make it less coarse against your toes? :3
