|Now it's still summer and I don't want to be melting... I've got Tidus at the top of my list AND I CAN'T WAIT!!! (can you tell I'm excited yet?!!!!) :D|
I've loved Tidus as a character ever since I played FFX years ago, and I just really wanted to be him, hence the progression to cosplaying him ^ ^
So I decided to make his Brotherhood sword, though I may also try and make him a Blitzball aswell, I mean you can never have too many props, and for different photos and all ^ ^
And exciting fangirl~flailing~news: I have a Yuna!! <3 Aaaaand I can't wait :D
She's adorable and cute as my Yunie (though she denies it all XP )
After a wonderful time flailing around with my Yuna I can most definitely say I have a new love for Tidus... except his tan ^^;
Now I've got some lovely tanlines for the next week or two... not really helped when I had to take off the tape from the open binding and now there is more ... or should I say less tan left on me ><..
Guess I'll not be wearing strappy tops for a little while by the looks of things.
Shall upload more pictures and arrange a photoshoot with my Yuna soon

Brotherhood Sword (Posted 1st June 2011)
Yes indeed I stupidly ended up staying awake till 5 am on the day of my Tidus cosplay finishing painting and cutting his wig... and sorting out his tan.... ugh ><; Annoying and in the end I had some amusing tan lines on my arms that my Yuna took the piss of ^^;
A new update (Posted 12th May 2011)
Alrighty, well as you can tell from the attached progress picture the costume has finally arrived.
His sword has hit a kind of plateau in its .. build I guess. I have the resources and materials to finish it off, I just keep making excuses, like 'oh the weather's rubbish so I can't do all the plaster-work on it because it's too messy' .... *facepalm*
Catch ya later
More work and progress (Posted 24th April 2011)
I'm typing this with the remains of plaster-of-paris on my hands, but it's all for a good reason... I've worked more on my sword!! And it's coming along great :D
The plaster-o'-paris (I forgot) has made the blade heavier.. so I think I'm gonna have to cut off the end of the sword handle to insert some sort of support so the whole blade won't just snap off from the handle. Then I think all that's left is to do the handle detail, the bubbles near the hilt and drill, paint and attach the ribbons to the handle... so pretty much a lot to do and all before May... but hooooopefully it should be okays :D

Really in Prop-Mode (Posted 30th March 2011)
And so I finally started working on my Brotherhood sword *excited flails*
And suprisingly its lots more fun than I expected it to be making it :D
I've got most of the shape sorted... and then suddenly I realised that it needs to be at least 20-odd centimetres longer ... so I'm having to somehow improvise from the sword I'm using to hold it all together... probably gonna end up cutting it, inserting some light wooden rods and then doing several layers of papier mache over it all.
If you couldn't guess by the aformentioned mache technique, I shall be doing a solid version of the sword, as I feel more confident with mache rather than attempting to play with plexiglass / transparent plastic stuffs ^^;
What I'm really looking forward to seeing how the paint effects will work... layering and all that :D
So... yeah, watch this space and I'll update and flail on completion

And so work has begun (Posted 11th January 2011)
Finally I've got money enough to start buying the different elements I need to gather together for Tidus.
Ordered his wig last night which looks pretty good, maybe a little dark but shall have to see how it looks when it arrives. Styling it... I'm hoping it all goes well.
And I also splurged on some lovely high quality blue/aqua contacts which I think are going to both work and stand out really well for Tidus :D
