| Heihachi, in his younger years (Tekken 1-2). We're experimenting with bald caps, make-up and crepe hair at the moment. The costume is pretty much done, I just don't have my camera with me. Alas! I'm going to be holding hands with Heihachi Mishima... As a Tonberry. I'm sure there are stranger pairings out there... I think... R.I.P. Post-expo exhaustion (Posted 31st May 2010) Wow, am I tired! I've lost all sensation in my right foot, but it was still worth it! A big thank you to all the people we chatted to on the Saturday. We had a good time. Irrespective of penguin whining like a LITTLE GIRL during the make-up application phase. In all fairness, he was a trooper. It mustn't of been fun wearing a sweaty bald cap all day with hair going up his nose. I don't think I ever want to work with wig hair and hot glue ever again. I'm still picking bits off of my clothes as we speak. Thanks again everyone and take care! :D |

Poops (Posted 11th April 2010) Just to note to all the kind people that are part of the Tekken group on Sunday, unfortunately the Penguin and I can only make the Saturday due to work commitments. How very sucky! As for progress, we've got everything done apart from the hair, which is proving a massive pain in the posterior at the moment. Penpen is even tempted to shave off his hair in the middle and stick the sides up. A bit extreme if you ask me. For our next attempt we'll try using pieces of cardboard and sticking hair either side of it and attaching them to the bald cap using velcro. That way we can defy gravity... sort of. Further progress pics will most likely be posted around a week before the expo as Lord of the Penguins is working on a programming job at the moment (I don't pretend to understand...) and won't have any free time until then. I know, he's boring! Take care. ^_^ |

Just the hair to do! (Posted 13th February 2010) Finally we've got all the costume components together, now for the tricky part, the hair! We’re experimenting with velcro to see if we can make detachable hair pieces as we want something that we can reuse. If all else fails, I have a year's supply of crepe hair and spirit gum, I’m sure it’ll come in some use, even if it’s just to make the eyebrows and sideburns! I shall post more pics over Easter. Penguin won’t allow me to post anymore until it’s ‘perfection,’ apparently. He’s such a diva! Anyhow, I’ll stop now because I’m tipsy. Mmm Rose wine! |

Unfortunately, due to work commitments, there's a chance that we can spend Saturday in London. I should find out by the end of this month whether we can make Sunday though.
