|Cost :||Well over £150.|
|Time Taken :||I've remade it an average of 3 times across 2 years.... How long is that?|
|Gintama is... Different. Yet, I've found myself more drawn into it as the series progresses. I may/may not have to be up to the eyeballs in narcotics to be able to cosplay Gin accurately... We'll see how that one pans out.|
I plan on having this finished for the Newcastle cosplay meet on 9th March, so hold me to that! Will hopefully have the rest of the Yorozuya with me if I can make their outfits in time, too!
Edit 01/08/08: Deleted my legacy from January/February to keep this simple! A week to go before AmeCon and all I need to do is add the red trim/zip to his new shirt (wow, I absolutely LOVE this shirt, I'm so bizarrely proud of it!), re-dye the obi and varnish Touya-ko!
Feels like such a long stretch since I started this damn costume (and y'know, I'll probably never be 'done' with it), so 2 kimono's, 2 shirts, 3 swords, 3 paint-jobs, 3 wigs and several copies of Weekly Jump later... It's like, ALRIGHT DONE.
Actually... Speaking of Jump; I realised that within my old copies I don't have one with Ichigo on the front... All I can say is that I'm glad Bleach has got loads of covers lately so it's not been hard to get a hold of one, haha... I just hope it arrives in time - for authenticity's sake! (Or Sena will probably grace the cover seeing as 90% of the Jump I own feature Eyeshield 21 XD)
Edit 01/08/09: I keep buying and replacing and remaking things to improve this costume... But will it ever truly be finished in my eyes? About 2 years since I started it and exactly a year since I said it was 'complete'.... So who knows? XD;
At least he's improved enough to warrant a re-wear at AyaCon this summer, I put enough bloody money into it to be worth that much at least!
