Description
Blue jacket is cotton jersey and feels ridiculously soft. The shirt/dress thing is some kind of cotton which is again, lovely and soft (I'm going to be the softest Refia in the world. <3), but maybe a little too heavy for May - I know I'm going to overheat. First time sewing sleeves! And they came out extremely well, without even having to do a mockup first. Incredibly happy. The skirt could look a billion times better - first time doing pleats, they look ok once ironed so I will iron the hell out of them the night before expo - and makes it look a little too long (even though it's a really short dress thing. I feel so stumpy :c), but that's nothing that I'm too worried about, I'd just like to get the thing finished before expo without screwing up my exams XD Things left to do (as of 27/4/10) - take in the blue jacket so it's not ridiculously billowy and the flappy bits are above my boobs, not below them; make gold thing and sew to flappy bits; make those gold pocket things and attach; hem everything; borrow boots from Caroline. -- Loved wearing this costume. I'd like to maybe go back and change a couple of things on it (like the skirt >>; ) but I'm so happy with it, and I had a lot of fun. I made another Refia friend 8D <3
