| The original version of this costume was my first ever cosplay! It feels sooo long ago! Most parts have been remade twice, but the obi has been remade 4 times!!!! The hardest part was the obi, silky satin isn't suppose to be able to support a massive bow. To solve this problem I made a supportive underobi, in which the bow slots into and then the decorative over obi laces over. The easiest part was probably the skirt and the staff. The body of the staff was made for me by a friend out of solid wood. I however did the paintwork :P I plan to write a tutorial one day on how I gradient dyed the sleeves too! I've retired this costume now, since I keep going back to it to remake parts :P. It was last worn at the Final Fantasy XII Launch in London. EDIT 23/03/08 I'm always bringing this costume out of retirement for random london events. This was worn to the Guiness book of records attempt at the largest number of games chracters in one place! We reached 80! After the count El/Rosiael took some great photos in the turbine room of the Tate modern! These are my poorly edited versions (Well not really editied lol!) | |

Cold day was cooooooold. XDDDDDDDDDDD
A nice set of Yuna pics you have here~ *w* Looking good!
Ooo pretty, I love the new wig you have for it too! ^o^ You look exactly like Yuna =3
XD, awesome as always. :D
You make such an awesome Yuna T_T And having seen the costume up close, I must say it's an amazing work of art!
... maybe that's why the visitors at Tate Modern thought you were part of an installation? XD
I saw the London record attempt pics and thought "She looks a lot like Lex..." yay dense award.
You make a fantastic Yuna, I'm in awe of that wig too! What did you use to cut the staff head, there's some tiny holes there.
hehe, I love it when people cant tell me from costume to costume :P
The staff was made for me by a freind and I believe that the head is 3 pieces of jigsawed MDF sandwidthed together! There is much sanding and filling in of gaps to give it a smooth look too. He did a great Job on it, Lex needs more excuses to show it off!
that first one is the most unflattering picture EVAR... of me. Ben says I am sneezing... I don't think I sneeze with my mouth open, in mid-sentence...
But yeah, wig looks good. And redone sleeves are much better. and your bow is magick!
x
