Awww progress is looking good.

I had an idea - feel free to like totally throw it out - I was thinking about how the artwork has such tight lines at the bottom..like hobble skirts, totally impractical to walkk in, although looks good in artwork.. I wonder if it would work sewing some thin elastic inside the dress at say mid calf, so the lines would gather in at the bottom but you'd be able to actually walk in it too. Never tried this, just a thought I had about it. ^_^

Yep I'm using a craft knife and don't worry I will ^_^ I've been warned not to touch the table cloth by my Mum otherwise I'm dead XD so I've got a panel of wood underneath it ;)

Can I recommend treat yourself to a cutting mat.. They are brill for cutting, they are designed to self heal after you slice into them, sharp blades don't go dull, and the knfe doesn't veer off like sometimes it can following wood grain.
Also generally they are just great as flat work surfaces to do other jobs on.
