Cost : £80~ so far
Time Taken : About four days so far

I have secretly been in love with Zelda's Twilight Princess outfit for a long after some thinking about how I would tackle each part of the costume, I've decided to go right ahead and cosplay her! What makes it even better is that Sisceal has said she will cosplay Agitha with me when I finish this costume, and I love an opportunity to cosplay with my friends. :)

Due to unforseen circumstances I won't be getting the ears that I ordered, and I am instead getting a refund. Time to search again!

Sometimes I wonder if this costume will ever be finished :|

- Ordered my ears today, after much discussion with Sisceal (she is my go-to girl on all things Zelda <3).
- Ordered my earrings (I don't have pierced ears, and I am surprised at how difficult it was to find a pair of plain silver cuff earrings that were clip-on!)
- On a previous visit to the big fabric store in Wales, I found a roll of lilac duchess satin that I snagged for something like £9.90 (11 metres!). I've decided that I like this fabric more than the dark purple fabric I previously bought, so I'll use the lilac for Zelda's waistcoat and the dark purple for Rapunzel's skirt.

So now...I THINK I have everything apart from the wig for Zelda. Hopefully this means I can crack on with making progress!

Yaaaay! (Posted 10th September 2010)

Today I went to the fabric store and bought a few bits and bobs for Zelda! Here's what I bought:

- 4 metres of purple fabric to re-make the waistcoat with (and now I can line it as well)
- 1/4 metre each of some blue fabric and some green fabric to make the apron with
- Rings to hold the armour together
- A metre of chain to hold the apron and it's armour up
- I wasn't planning to buy these but I saw them in the shop and knew they were perfect - I got two small red gems for the chest armour.

So I'll hopefully be making something out of these soon!

23/06/2010 - Progress (Posted 23rd June 2010)

I did have a previous journal entry up here but I decided to delete it and merge it with this one. :D Here's a list of what I've done so far, as I've been working on this costume for so long:

- I've made the crown in two separate pieces, but I haven't joined them together yet as I'm waiting until I buy a wig; I don't want to make it too small for my head plus the wig on top!
- Been considering various wigs...I've found one on eBay that I like, but I don't know whether to buy it or wait until Cosworx sorts their international shipping out.
- Got loooads of ribbon for the hair.
- I've got craft foam for all of the armour (at least, I hope it'll be enough!), and today I finally found some suitable blue crystals to use for it too!
- I've finished the white part of the dress (in fact, I finished it sometime last year!), but I'm yet to add the trim and designs around the bottom. However I've got the right fabric for the trim, and I think the designs will be painted on.
- I finished the waistcoat; however I decided I didn't like it so I'm going to remake it.
- I've made the white part of the sleeves and painted the designs on, however I'm yet to make the grey parts.
- I've already got suitable shoes.
- I have an idea of where to buy ears and gloves, and earrings shouldn't be too hard to find and edit.
- Still not sure about the apron - don't know whether to paint it or embroider it. We'll see!
