| A rare sighting of me as a blonde! Lap it up, you're not likely to see it again. The Bride is in the tradition of "tough chick" character types that I've always liked cosplaying. Not to mention it was simple, comfortable, recognisable and cheap to make - four things that rarely come together in a costume for me. Bought a tracksuit, dyed it yellow, sewed the ribbon stripes on, painted a pair of trainers and glued on black stripes (I can't afford real Asics!), and cut and styled the wig. A little watered down red fabric paint splattered on with an old toothbrush. Ta-dah~~ finito. *SO* comfy. My only regret - that I never got a picture of this costume with the replica sword, which I do own. I can't have it at a con, being a live blade and all, and I no longer fit the costume at all so a photoshoot is out of the question. | |
