|I've loved the Zelda series for a very long time now and after cosplaying Minish Cap Zelda at KitCon i thought i'd try making Twilight Princess Zelda. |
I'd really loved the game and have cosplayed Link before so it was nice to cosplay Zelda for a change :D
The hardest part for me was all the sewing. I'm not very good at it and had to really try my best with this outfit. I had all sorts of grief with the dress and by the end i couldn't wait to get onto making all the armour.
In a moment of pure stupid i managed to get the bodice bit stuck on the dressmaking model but the less said about that the better. ¬_¬
Easiest part? probably the painting, although it took a long time to do (6 hours + for just the pattern at the bottom of the dress) it was quite easy.
Most scary moments whilst making it were def when i came downstairs to find the door had been left open and the dog (bless him) had walked his little muddy foot prints over the material o_O
I learnt a lot about sewing on this project, i've added the sewing machine to my list of machines that hate my guts and that you NEVER wear jeans while Mod Rocking.
The Armour is made from fun foam (whoop), chickenwire (sewn onto the underside of the foam), mod rock and paper mache (i can't spell so please forgive me). The tiara is the same with a wire skelton to hold the tiara's shape.
I loved wearing this cosplay, the Zelda group was awesome and it was so cool to be in the photos with them.
Uni was cosplaying Midna (human form) and we had a blast in the masquerade, she was amazing and i was so happy to cosplay with her, she totally blew me away!
