Description
First worn to the Edinburgh AASOC Mini-Convention in Feb '06. These photos are from Cosplay Scotland's September '06 meet. I designed and made this costume before much was known about the Full Metal Alchemist movie. I thought- what would Al wear once he became human? So I based my design off of Ed's jacket, but inverted the colours as I had seen some other cosplayers do. Then, I added the flamel that's on Al's armour to the arm of the jacket. :D The flap in the front is Al's loincloth/apron thing. XD I feel that after being in that suit of armour for so long, Al might be attached to it and want to keep something from it. I also wore the State Alchemist pocket-watch to finish the costume off. This was my first attempt at lining- and it failed somewhat miserably. If I ever wear this to a convention, I'm going to rip out the current lining and reline it! XD
