Leadmill and I chose to buy the HG-199 airsoft pistol since the replica was too expensive. I modified mine by printing out the grip badges onto gloss decal paper and adding the 'S.T.A.R.S, R.P.D Special Team' along the barrel.

First Aid Spray (Posted 17th June 2010)

I used a label I had seen online and used photoshop to edit it. I printed out the final image onto gloss decal paper which easily fixed around a spray can.

Hand grenade (Posted 21st May 2010)

Needed for our skit idea at Expo.

Launcher - painted (Posted 7th March 2010)

Finished spray painting the main body olive green. The handle and trigger can be removed for easy transport and the slit seen on the side marks where the scope will be attached. Some final details will be added such as the label on the side and the rockets will have a final layer of black spray paint.

Holster, belts and pouch (Posted 21st February 2010)

Pouch was a modified camera bag with a small safety buckle added. Drop leg Viper holster I already had from airsofting and the buckle belt was recycled from an other costume.

Handle, Scope and Trigger (Posted 15th February 2010)

Spray painted the handle, sight and trigger with olive drab, the same paint as the rest of the launcher. These pieces will slot on/off the main body of the launcher for ease of transport.

Shoulder pads (Posted 7th February 2010)

Finished the seam detail on the shoulder pads.

Rocket Launcher (Posted 6th February 2010)

Started work on the launcher, main body is complete, four large postal tubes were used, seperated by two pieces of thick plastazote which form the ends of the launcher. The next step will be the painting and adding detail such as the handle and trigger.

Watch and Gloves (Posted 29th November 2009)

Viper fingerless leather gloves and the official S.T.A.R.S watch with its original strap removed and replaced by the brown leather one.

Princess Seams (Posted 15th November 2009)

Added the princess seams to the front of the tshirt. I made my own template for the shoulder pads and the base was thin packaging foam covered in faux leathercloth uphostelry vinyl on a cotton backing. The piece in between the pads didn't need foam, it was a piece of folded vinyl which the collar was sewn onto. It was then attached losely to each pad either side to ease movement. I added four button fasteners to the pads and I will be adding the seams that go across the top of them for detail.

Patch (Posted 15th November 2009)

In the remake the patch has a dark outline, I bought this and ironed it on.

Lettering (Posted 15th November 2009)

Finished the lettering 'S.T.A.R.S Special Tactics and Rescue Service' on the back of the tshirt using a mix of iron letters and permanent marker. The iron letters were a very bold font so I had to trim them down before using them. I used grease proof paper to remove the gloss finish on the iron on letters, making them matt. The buckles for the harness straps I already had, the collar was sewn onto the piece between the shoulder pads.
