|This is just so adorable! And skitty is my favourite pokemon so when I saw the Gijinka for it, I vowed that I would actually make it~|
Making this is so fun, even if any time I do anything for this, I get the "Meow kitty~" song from the big bang theory stuck in my head.
The hat and cape are pink fleece, made using a hooded ponco pattern. The dress is pale yellow cotton, and the bloomers are yellow satin.
I tried to make a tail using leftover fleece and wire, but unfortunatly I can't get the balance right on it (which makes the cloak really uncomfortable). Ergo, I've given up on the tail for now and left the cloak how it is~ I may try again in the future, who knows...
On a pure whim, I've decided to make a skitty pokeball to go with this ^^ Could be interesting...
Actually finished a costume! (Posted 7th September 2010)
Yup it's true XD This costume is now finally complete ^^ However I need to get a poofier tutu to make the skirt flare a little more.
Many thanks to my mum who help A LOT with all the hemming and putting it all together, and for making the bloomers for me when I didnt feel well c:
End of june? maybe not o.o (Posted 14th August 2010)
Okay, because of travels and hats this has definately NOT been finished for the end of june XD
Forgot to mention =/ (Posted 6th May 2010)
Just before I went back to uni for the end of the semester, Madre found the perfect material for the bloomers~
Pokeball go! (Posted 28th March 2010)
So I finally bought some fabric for the dress ^^
Hat! (Posted 15th March 2010)
Finally finished the hat, after much procrastination~ Pictures soon!
In retrospect, ballons, whilst being remarkably head-shaped, do not provide the most ideal things to put under a hat while you pin on cat ears...
