Description
I've wanted to do Kuja for ages. He's one of my favourite villains in the Final Fantasy series (he's better than Sephiroth, for one) and always seemed like he would be an immense amount of fun to cosplay: he's got the exaggerated, melodramatic swagger of a pantomime or play villain. I have yet to find a good male Kuja cosplayer. I intend to rectify this. And finally, when I told people of this plan, all of them (excluding the 5% who reacted with sheer horror) said "DO IT." With capital letters and everything. Never underestimate the power of capital letter encouragement. I'm doing his Dissidia variant for a few reasons. As you can see from the artwork, he looks a lot more like a guy than he did in FFIX. Added pieces such as the codpiece and leg armour make him much more masculine than he was before, so as someone who lacks the andronoyous look this version appeals to me more. I also have actual artwork to work from, instead of CG screenshots and confusing Amano artwork. I intend to make him for one of the Expos or Amecon... sometime when the weather is warm at least.
