|Tokiko's officially back in the mix! I'd like to finish her for Minnesota's Anime Detour 2010.|
This was intended as my first cosplay, way back in 2007, but the convention plans and costume-making both fell through. But it has been revived! Still got the (recently updated) wig, the socks, and shoes.
So far, the skirt needs just a zipper (oh God, I thought I'd never be done ironing pleats!), and the shirt is maybe halfway through. I expect it will be fun to figure out the hidden pleats in the body of the shirt. If I get really ambitious, I would like to cobble together her Valkyrie Skirt, at least in Wait Mode (seems a little more practical than Full Mode). With a wide elastic band and some craft foam, I think it can be done.
I also had color contacts for this character at one time (you can see them a little in the icon photo), but they've long since expired, and I wasn't very good at getting them in anyways. Did look cool, though.
Update 07/18 '09- Costume finished, and pictures uploaded! Now, to make her weapon.
