| Planned for a KHII group cosplay with CosplayIsland member (and actual UK resident) Fishyfins, and fellow American Lord Zasz. Should be debuted at Anime Detour 2010, in Minnesota, US. I've finshed the costume part, although I may go back and tweak a couple things, such as remaking the bracelets and repainting the zippers (they lost a lot of their spray paint in the sewing process). Construction: -The dress was made by heavily adapting an existing pattern. The zippers were originally black, but spraypainted silver. The dress is fully lined, I didn't want it to be see-through. -For the bag and belt, I made my own pattern out of butcher paper, and sewed it from car upholstery fabric. Later, I cut up a cereal box and tacked it to the inside of the bag, to keep it from being floppy. The snaps aren't functional, merely glued on. One of the straps of the belt ends in hidden velcro, so the belt can be easily removed. -The hood was made on it's own from an existing sweatshirt pattern, and later sewed into the halter top's strap. -The shoes were purchased as all white hi-top sneakers, then colored with markers and spraypainted to match the original design. I had regular shoelaces at first, then switched them out for black ribbon. The black ribbon looks better, but slides off the legs too easily. -The white halter was made off the top of my head without a pattern. Pretty simple, just sew a tube, put lace around the top, and attach the strap and hood. The fabric is double lined and extra stretchy, so it's very forgiving. -The pendant was handmade from Fimo, then painted with a pearly nailpolish and topped with hi-gloss spraypaint. Silk cord and clasp found easily at my local beading store. The bracelets were purchased, although one had to be spraypainted blue. I may switch them out for handmade ones, friendship-bracelet style. The hardest part was probably the dress, adding the zippers in threw off the dress' finished dimensions considerably, and it took a lot off adjusting in the end to make it fit.
